St. George's students in fourth through eighth grade had their amazing work showcased alongside master artists this weekend at the New Orleans Museum of Art’s annual Art in Bloom.

For this year’s floral-themed art show, seventh and eighth grade students constructed a pop art ceramic totem, while students in fifth and sixth grade built ceramic hanging vases embellished with mixed media. Mrs. Sontag’s fourth grade class designed a floral-printed tablecloth for the show.

“The food was amazing! The art was amazing! It was enjoyable seeing the other art work from other ISAS students. I must say St. George’s art display was very impressive and some of the best student work there. I was a proud parent,” said Board Member and St. George's parent Heidi Gould.

Art in Bloom ran March 14th through March 18th. The Patron and Preview Party earlier in the week featured cuisine from 30 top New Orleans restaurants, a silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind art and live music. Guests also enjoyed an exclusive preview of the student floral displays.
