Ready, Set, Read

Summer 2017 Information

Ready, Set, Read is open to students entering first through fifth grades. Skilled language/reading specialists will provide reading, spelling and writing instruction in a program utilizing phonological awareness and sequential, multisensory, Orton-Gillingham based approaches to teach students who struggle with the reading process or have been diagnosed with dyslexia. Each class will consist of no more than three students. Students can:

  • Gain improvements in phonological awareness, phonics, decoding and reading fluency skills
  • Learn strategies for improved reading comprehension
  • Increase their spelling and writing skills
  • Become more self-confident and independent learners

Dates & Times

Session 1 (3 weeks): June 12-30, 2017

Class 1: 8-9:30 a.m.
Class 2: 10-11:30 a.m.

Session 2 (3 weeks):  July 10-28, 2017

Class 1: 8-9:30 a.m.
Class 2:
10-11:30 a.m.

Students can enroll in a class in one or both sessions.
 

Fee

St. George's Students: $700 per session
Non-St. George's Students: $700 per session for Class 1 or 2 + $50 non-refundable screening fee
